HORNET NATION— Haines City High School is excited to announce and welcome Carlos Jimenez as the new head volleyball coach. Jimenez comes to Haines City with over 30 years of dedication to the sport of volleyball and a wealth of collegiate, international coaching, playing and teaching experience. 

Most recently, Jimenez served as the head women’s volleyball coach at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois, prior to that he was head men’s volleyball coach and assistant women’s volleyball coach at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. 

Before to his tenure at Wilson College, Jimenez enjoyed a tour as national director for EVP Pro Beach Volleyball for 14 years. He played professionally for the U.S.S.A. Volleyball Club in Saint Andre, France and has also held coaching stints at the World Volleyball Training Center in New York, Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, Seattle University in Seattle, WA, C.E. CREA University in Bogotá, Colombia, and the National Volleyball Federation in Bogotá, Colombia.

Jimenez has a Bachelor of Arts in exercise science from Western Washington University. He has also completed Master’s coursework in sports training at the University of Lille and has several volleyball coaching certifications including: beach volleyball management and training, USA volleyball CAP I, France high development coaching certification, and Colombia national team coach certification.
