HORNET NATION— Haines City High School is excited to announce Trina Carter as the new head cheerleading coach.
Carter, a former cheerleader and Haines City High School alumnus, will oversee all game day and spirit activities of the Hornet Nation cheerleading program.
Carter’s primary goal, outside of preparing her team to be best game day cheerleaders they can be, is to grow the entire program to its full potential, by creating an exciting experience, which also fosters lifelong friendships and bonds among teammates and enhances the Hornet Nation spirit at sporting events, campus activities, and various other functions throughout the community.
“We are excited to have Coach Carter lead us into the next chapter of our cheerleading program. She has hit the ground running, building her staff and organizing the current and future cheerleaders, I am confident Coach Carter and her staff will build upon the current program and increase excitement and school pride on campus and in the surrounding community.” stated Athletic Director Tyrhon Crawford.
Carter has been married for 26 years, to her husband, J.R., also an alumus of Haines City High School. They have two beautiful daughters and are excited about this opportunity to lead the cheer program here at Haines City.
